Verizon hangs up cell tower proposal

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area officials announced there will be no cell phone towers in the park — for now.Park Superintendent John J. Donahue said Thursday that Verizon Wireless has withdrawn its application to build two towers in the park.The towers would have been the first built in the park's history.
