Cisco Acquires WebEx for $3.2 billion

Cisco has entered into a definitive agreement to buy the online conferencing company WebEx Communications for $3.2 billion, in an all cash deal.

This deal will catapult Cisco into a leading position in the online conferencing market aided by the WebEx's software for online collaboration which can be used for audio conferencing, training, and online events. This deal will add further fizz to the Cisco's unified communications family of products.
